Micropole, an international consulting and digital technologies group, posted revenues of €111.6 million in its 2013 fiscal year. At constant scope and exchange rates, the slowdown in activity was 1.8%. Excluding the calendar effect (about 2 days less in 2013 vs. 2012, depending on the zone), the impact is limited to 1.3%.

Income from operations before non-recurring items amounted to 3.1 million euro, compared with 3.5 million euro in 2012. Income from operations and net income rose significantly to 3 million euros from 2.5 million euros in 2012, and to 1.3 million euros from 0.9 million euros in the previous year.

Focus on four Digital and Data related offers

As announced last February, Micropole Group has conducted an in-depth strategic analysis of its markets and positioning. This work has confirmed the relevance of its three historical fundamentals, namely Added Value, Innovation and International. Based on these findings, the group will now focus all its expertise on four major offers:

  • Digital Transformation - supporting companies in their digital strategies and innovation around new uses.
  • Performance Management - helping general management and business units to define and optimize their strategic or operational indicators.
  • Process Optimization - implementing integrated management systems.
  • Data Governance - assisting companies in managing and leveraging their data and information.

Finalized at the beginning of 2014, this realignment has already led to gains in both relevance and performance. It also strengthens the alignment of our offerings with the expectations of business departments, whose importance as principals is growing within companies.

Thus grouped, Micropole's expertise offers the great competitive advantage of covering all of its clients' needs in the key areas of Digital and Data: marketing, customer knowledge and relations, mobility, strategic and operational management of the company, etc. Several significant projects combining these areas of expertise have already been signed.

Outlook for 2014

" In a deteriorated macro-economic context in Europe, which clearly weighed on all of our business, 2013 nevertheless enabled Micropole Group to confirm its fundamentals. The realignment and coherence of our business offerings now allows us to implement a very strong complementarity of our expertise, thus meeting the expectations of our clients. In addition, the constant increase in the share of our international activities allows us to affirm our confidence in the relevance of our strategic choices. The year 2014 is therefore starting on an encouraging footing for Micropole, as confirmed by the Syntec Numérique indicators for the Consulting and Services market, with expected growth of +1.2% ", comments Christian Poyau, Chairman and CEO of Micropole.
